Since October 2022, our Youth Action Board (YAB) has been at the forefront of empowering young leaders and creating opportunities for youth advocacy in our community. With new members bringing fresh perspectives, we are more committed than ever to making a lasting impact. As we step into another year, we are excited to share our progress, upcoming initiatives, and growing collaborations that will further strengthen youth leadership in our county.
YAB has been actively engaging with local high school students through career fairs and informational sessions. By sharing our mission, we have inspired many young individuals to take action and get involved in advocacy efforts that directly affect their lives.
We are also dedicated to volunteering for youth housing initiatives, helping young people secure lower rent payments and access stable living conditions. Through these efforts, we aim to provide the support and resources necessary for youth to build a brighter future.
In addition, we are forging partnerships with other Youth Action Boards that share our passion for advocacy and empowerment. By working together, we can amplify our voices and drive meaningful change. These collaborations allow us to exchange ideas, strengthen our initiatives, and ensure that young people across the region have the support they need to thrive.
One of our key goals is to show the community that young people in this county are ready to do whatever it takes to make a difference. Whether through advocacy, volunteering, or leadership development, we are committed to creating opportunities for youth to stand up for what they believe in and drive positive change.
