For 26 years, Lynn Dorler has been a dedicated advocate for youth development through the Boys & Girls Club, with 16 of those years serving as CEO in Charlotte County. Under his leadership, the Boys & Girls Club of Charlotte County have transformed the lives of countless young individuals, providing a safe and nurturing environment that emphasizes education, leadership, and community engagement.
Before joining the Boys & Girls Club, Lynn spent 18 years with the City of Dunkirk Public Schools, where he worked in various capacities, including coaching multiple sports, serving as a teaching assistant, and working as a Media Specialist. His passion for mentorship extended beyond the classroom, as he dedicated a decade each to coaching Little League Baseball and travel fastpitch softball.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Lynn finds inspiration and balance in cooking, sports, spending time at the beach, playing poker, and listening to music. Despite his years of service, his mission remains steadfast: "to champion the values of the Boys & Girls Club by creating safe spaces where children can thrive, reach their full potential, and be empowered for lifelong success."
Carrie Walsh, Charlotte County Human Services Director, speaks to Lynn’s unwavering commitment: "Lynn is the kind of leader that says, YES! He is open to new ideas, opportunities, and connections, which is one of the reasons that he is truly exceptional. His dedication to the kids in Charlotte County is unmatched. It’s a pleasure to work alongside him."
Lynn lives by the words of a powerful quote: "Anytime you have an opportunity to make a difference in this world and don't, then you're wasting your time on earth." His leadership, passion, and dedication continue to inspire, leaving a lasting impact on the youth and families of Charlotte County.
Thank you, Lynn, for your service to our community and for being a bright shining star in the lives of others!
