Long-Term Recovery Update: Support Continues for Charlotte County

We are pleased to announce that Gulf Coast Partnership has received a grant from the American Red Cross to continue Long-Term Recovery efforts in Charlotte County. This grant ensures the continued operation of our Long-Term Recovery department as we assist residents impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

With this funding, we can maintain essential services, including accepting and processing applications, making referrals, conducting outreach, and strengthening community partnerships. Our primary focus remains on assisting those in need with home repairs and qualifying financial assistance directly related to hurricane recovery.

Moving forward, Noami Guy, our Community Empowerment Coordinator, will support the Long-Term Recovery department part-time, ensuring that residents continue to receive the help they need.

If you or someone you know in Charlotte County has ongoing hurricane-related needs and meets low-income eligibility guidelines, please apply for assistance at www.coadfl.org. Priority is given to households displaced from their homes, seniors (60+), families with minors under 18, and individuals with disabilities. More information on eligibility is available on the COAD website—click the blue button to get started.

Help is available, and we remain committed to supporting our community in the path to recovery.
