Save the Date: Stars Academy Ribbon Cutting Ceremony & Diaper Drive

We are thrilled to announce the ribbon cutting ceremony and diaper drive kick-off for the GCP’s new childcare center, Stars Academy! Join us on Thursday, July 11th, 2024, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at 2230 Hariet St. in Port Charlotte for a morning of celebration and community.

This special event marks a significant milestone in our disaster recovery efforts and mission to provide quality childcare and support to families in Charlotte County. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the American Red Cross and the Community Foundation of Sarasota for their outstanding partnership and making this project a reality. Their support has been instrumental in bringing Stars Academy to life.

We are also delighted to welcome all three Chambers of Commerce: The Charlotte County Chamber of Commerce, the Punta Gorda Chamber, and the Englewood Chamber. Their participation underscores the unity and collaborative spirit within our community.

The ribbon cutting ceremony will include guided tours of the new facility, allowing you to see firsthand the wonderful environment we have created for our children. Light refreshments will be served to all attendees.
