The Gulf Coast Partnership (GCP) exists as a community-wide initiative to understand homelessness, identify best practices to meet the needs of the homeless and those at risk of homelessness, and to forge a community consensus implementing strategies to raise the quality of life for all Charlotte County Residents.
“We are delighted to provide this vital funding to agencies in our community who are doing the tough work on the ground, “said Angela Hogan, CEO of the Gulf Coast Partnership. “We will continue to build collaborations and support local programs that employ best practices in serving those in need.”
By applying for grants through the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, Department of Health and Human Services, Florida Department of Children and Families, and the Florida Office on Homelessness; the Gulf Coast Partnership is able to bring operational support funding to organizations in Charlotte County.
These grants assist in providing emergency shelter to homeless persons; engage persons living on the street through street outreach activities; provide homeless prevention to enable those in danger of losing their housing to remain stably housed, as well as providing re-housing services to help those who are homeless become stably housed.
