This training will encompass the tools available to prevent and end homelessness in Charlotte County. It will cover the different roles of various agencies and how each part works together to form a comprehensive system of care available to all Charlotte County residents.

Training will cover topics such as coordinated entry, street outreach, emergency shelter, transitional housing, rapid re-housing, homeless prevention, diversion, permanent housing, and more.

The Coordinated Entry System in Charlotte County assures that homeless individuals that are at the most risk get the help and housing they need first. Coordinated entry is a process developed to ensure that all people experiencing a housing crisis have fair and equal access and are quickly identified, assessed for, referred, and connected to housing and assistance based on their strengths and needs.

The Coordinated Entry System Committee uses case conferencing to address by-name lists consisting of chronic and veteran homeless populations in Charlotte County for the purpose of getting them housed.
