The Gulf Coast Partnership will be hosting an all day Homeless Systems training event for all Community Partners, staff, volunteers, and board members working with Charlotte County’s homeless community members on Thursday, May 23, 2019 from 9am – 4pm. We encourage you and your entire team to attend this important event.
Amanda Rosado, Technical Advisor for the Florida Housing Coalition will be providing training in the following areas:
Learn how to provide support services to help households experiencing homelessness obtain and maintain housing. Topics covered will be assessment, engagement, documentation, and working with difficult cases.
Coordinated Entry is a key part of any community’s crisis response system. Learn the four major components of Coordinated Entry and your role in helping with the process.
Learn how to provide strategic, housing focused outreach that goes beyond just meeting people where they are. Understand the role outreach plays in helping people end their homelessness.
AMANDA ROSADO is a technical advisor with the Florida Housing Coalition. In this role she provides training and technical assistance throughout the state of Florida to those working in homeless services. She holds a master’s degree in Social Work with a focus on organizations and communities from the University of South Carolina. For the past ten years, she has worked with individuals and families experiencing chronic homelessness in various settings including a drop in center, emergency shelter, HIV clinic, and permanent supportive housing programs. As a strong advocate for housing first and recovery oriented systems of care, she is passionate about utilizing evidence based practices and providing effective interventions to work with some of the most vulnerable populations.
